Shreyas Navare's caricatures to be inaugurated by Dr. Kalam

Former President Dr.APJ Kalam will inaugurate the Editorial Cartoonist of Hindustan Times Shreyas Navare’s collection at the Indian Institute of Cartoonists on the 10th January 2010.
Azim Premji by Shreyas NavareThe Indian Institute of Cartoonists is organizing an exhibition of Cartoons ‘The Political Pickle’ by Sri. Shreyas Navare, Editorial Cartoonist, Hindustan Times on 10th January 2010, Sunday at 4.30PM. Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India will be inaugurating the same.
Sri. Shreyas Navare is a technology manager by profession with an MBA from IIT, Bombay and BE (Information Technology) from VJTI, Mumbai. He started his career with a supplement of The Times of India, Thane Plus. Since 2007, Hindustan Times has been publishing his cartoons and caricatures. He has held many
cartoon exhibitions at many places in India.
The exhibition will be open to public from 10th January 2010 up to 23rd January 2010, from 10.00AM to 6.00PM.

Shreyas Navare's caricatures of Sachin Tendulkar and Deepika padukoneShreyas Navare is a technology manager by profession with an MBA from IIT Bombay and B.E (Information Technology) from VJTI, Mumbai. His passion for drawing political cartoons began at the age of twelve.
Two years later, in 1997, his cartoons appeared in Thane Plus, a supplement of The Time of India. While at school, Shreyas received a letter of appreciation for his cartoons from the Prime Minister of India, Sri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During his engineering days, several of his Marathi cartoons appeared in Mumbai Times. Later, while he worked at Tata Consultancy Services as a Software engineer, he contributed cartoons to the Marathi daily Loksatta.
Shreyas has held many cartoon exhibitions, one of which was inaugurated by the
President of India in 2006. Since 2007, Hindustan Times has been publishing his cartoons and caricatures, including an editorial cartoon column titled “Big Deal”. On behalf of Hindustan Times, Shreyas has covered elections in Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan through the eyes of a cartoonist. His cartoons lampoon various facets of our lives including politics, economics, social issues, international affairs, sports and films.
