It is evident from the above that blaming individual/user/developer/rescue provider is not the solution to the situation like this. Principally we all agree that common people spend most of the time either in home or office, are these places fire safe how may of us had asked ourself first. There is a huge vaccume on awareness of potential risk involved from smoke and fire. We need to address as a responsible citizen firstly what kind of perceived threat involved when there is a fire?. Secondly how to minimize the risk, and finally how to create awareness. I take this opportunity to join hands in forming a forum of fire risk management. To bring in sufficient level of awareness on fire safety.

There is no point in blaming the fire service personal or so. The fault is in the design of the building. Just to save few bucks the builders and devlopers always keep fire protection aside. For these sort of building, our National Building Code Part 4 has provided proper guidelines. If the builder dont follow it, then how come the occupant will be safe. But there is also a real concern on how have they got the No Objection Certificate from the fire authority. These sort of building requires Passive Fire Protection System to contain the fire and preventing fire and smoke from crossing one room to other. We should be safe than sorry.

We all are looking at the aspect of the after fire incident and no one is realizing the importance of Proactive Fire Protection. There are number of tested and proven methods for Avoiding the Fire spread, Smoke Management and protecting the shell building itself from Fire. The subject of Fire compartmentation will gives the solutions for above problems. In Bangalore many high rise and modern buildings are not fire safe. As a citizen of India when we are asking for the amenities in the building like swimming pool, gymnasium, health centre and other things. No one is bother to ask the builder weather the building is Fire safe or not. The basic awareness should come with in or selves and act accordingly. Building Codes of India is clear in all aspects related to fire and it is recommended only . If they make it mandatory then every builder and owner will come on line. Its easy to blame the security or other officials, owner will definetely know the fact... catch the bugger .. dont think he is rich and powerful. Gandhi Ji has said, there should be no partiality in such cases .. catching the employees is nothing but you are covering the sin of the main person.

A failure of Emergency action plan and Fire prevention plan in the building.

There is a long and tragic history of work place fires in this country caused by problems with fire exits and extinguishing systems. It is all employers responsibility to provide proper exits, fire fighting equipments and employee training to prevent fire incedents in the work places especially in commercial towers. Basic requirement of Fire exit routes signage may be not there!
We want to ( must ) minimize danger to our employees. ( building occupant ) Emergency safe gaurds of Automatic springlers system.Fire alarm systems,Fire doors, Exit signage lighting etc must be in proper working order at all times. Each exit must be clearly visible and marked with an exit sign.If the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge is not immediately apparent  ,signs must be posted along the exit access indicating direction to the nearest exit. The line of sign to an exit sign must clearly be visible at all times. It may be a failure of emergency action plan and Fire prevention plan. There must be enough exits in the proper arrangement for quick escape. Fire extinguishers must be inspected, maintained and employee must be trained in how to use them.

Which rescue operations are we even talkng about?? We were an eye witness to everything .People jump and end their lives with no option left at all, people howling from every window possible for help, people choking and tryng to break the windows to get some bit of air. We noticed the hue and cry around 4 pm and it took 45 minutes for the police and the ambulance to come. Even once when they came they had some small ropes for probably to play with or what .No facilities were their to rescue the people. People at the top most floor were struggling till 5:30PM. shouting der left over breath out to get them some help atleast. It was the local people who were running around the maximum to rescue people, getting sheets, boards etc to help people somehow.Needless to say what was swift and effective ...
