Hey Tweeple, Twestival is back!

The Twitter festival is back with a bang, be a part of the festival and watch Thermal and A Quarter and Parvaaz perform live.

Twestival, the globally celebrated
event is back. In its second leg in India, Twestival seems to be getting bigger and better. The first venue of the Twestival will kick start in Bangalore on March 24, which will later move on to cities like Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. Each of these cities will host particular events and fundraise for seven different local NGOs.

More than 160 cities around the world, thousands of people will demonstrate social media’s power for social good, through the third annual Twestival. “The global event is a worldwide fundraising initiative that uses social media, particularly Twitter, to focus participants’ talent and resources to benefit one cause for one day. This year Twestival is going 'local' in cities around the world – each city will select and raise funds for a local non-profit,” says Amit Khare, Lead Event Organiser of Twestival.

Lending Their Support
For 15 years now, Thermal And A Quarter (TAAQ) have been burning up stages all over the world, from Jakarta to Glasgow, with an original sound that they describe as 'Bangalore Rock'. All through, TAAQ have also thrown their musical might behind many different social causes. From concerts in aid of war widows and victims of natural calamities to songs protesting corruption in the country, TAAQ have been unafraid to go where few Indian rock bands have ventured. Continuing that tradition, TAAQ will perform at this year's Twestival, in aid of Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled.
