Bangalore, a techno-hub is a home
to a famous industrial and technological museum known as Vishweshariah Industrial and Technological Museum that draws a number of tourists visiting the city. The Vishweshariah Industrial and Technological Museum located on Kasturba Road aims at bringing down science to the level of common men. While exploring this museum, one can discover for himself the working of the different machines.

As for example, one can know about the working of the telephone technology. The visitors can press on the buttons provided on the glass panels and see the experiments for themselves.  There is an airplane and a steam engine for display on the compounds of Vishweshariah Industrial and Technological Museum in Bangalore.

There are seven galleries:  Engine Hall, Electrotechnic, Fun science, Space, Biotechnology, BEL Hall of Electronics, Children Science. Apart from these there are special exhibits like Dinosaur corner and Full scale replica of Wright Flyer- 1.  Efforts to build a museum in the name of Sir. M Visvesvaraya was started in 1961, coinciding with the birth Centenary of Sir MV. Building was completed in 1962 and was handed over to CSIR. Museum was opened to public on July 27, 1965.

There are 10 lakhs visitor in a year to the museum. This is the only museum in India which has the highest number of visitors as it is well maintained, with improving technology giving good facility in museum which helps to sustain people to come to museum time and again. 
It is located on Kasturba Road Bangalore. Timings: 10 am to 5:30 pm.
