The rebellious goon Chhedi Singh, played by Sonu Sood in the biggest blockbuster Dabangg has got the actor incredible recognition worldwide to his own surprise. His larger than life character in the movie has indefinitely changed the very course of his life, and this time he is not complaining. “Be it Jodha Akbar or Singh is King, every film that I do maters to me. And Dabangg undoubtedly is one film that remains very close to my heart. The actor is currently enjoying every bit of his work and his platter is full with enticing projects in different genres and languages. Comes June and the actor will be seen hobnobbing with none other than the iconic Rajnikanth, in the forthcoming flick Rana which also stars Deepika Padukone. But at the moment the actor is all praises about Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap, “Bbuddha has been a fascinating experience. The film has been shot beautifully and to work with Amitabh Bachchan was like a dream come true for me. It gave me immense confidence as an actor and I certainly couldn’t have asked for more,” says Sood who will also act in the Tamil remake of Dabangg, Vosthi. which is all set to hit the floors in July.
The actor is also very excited about his first Sandalwood thriller flick Vishnuvardhana opposite actress Priyamani. “Language has never been a huge barrier for me. I have worked in Telugu and Tamil films down South and ever since then I wanted to act in Kannada movies. I am looking forward for my first Kannada release,” says the excited and well sculpted Sood. If films are what you think is keeping the former model occupied 24/7, then think again. Actor Sonu Sood has always been a fitness freak and all the years of toil at the gym paid off successfully in Dabangg. “I have been very particular about my workouts ever since I was in college. But it was only in Dabangg that I showcased the real me in terms of my fitness,” says the chiseled actor who recently went shirtless to support People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), something that he is closely associated with.
Actor Sonu Sood tell us about the myth of workouts:
1) We always tend to cheat ourselves, and I think it is something we should all stop at once, if we want to stay fit and look fab.
2) I often hear people saying that on the 1st of next month, or the next Monday I will start my workout. But then how often does that happen? My suggestion to everyone around is to be true to your own self and start from today, never ever say tomorrow.
3) All we need is a disciplined life and then getting a six pack or a toned body is not far away.
4) There are no shortcuts to fitness. It’s an everyday routine.
Apart from living a very disciplined life, actor Sonu Sood spends around 2-3 hours at the gym every day to sweat it out. He also follows a strict diet which helps him remain sculpted to everyone's envy! After all staying fit is not everyone's paradigm!
