Skyye is the most opulent lounge in Bangalore which has invariably changed the entire party scene in our city.

Do you want to feel on the top of the world
and dance your night away under a blanket of stars with exclusive cocktails and gorgeous view all around you? Then Skyye, the hippest lounge in the city is a perfect retreat to unwind after an arduous day of work as it boasts of everything incredible.  Located in the uber cool UB City, Skyye is as high as it can get. Situated on the 16th floor, it creates a uniquely extravagant ambiance which has boosted the Bangalore party scene to a completely different level. The minute you step in Skyye, the huge wooden doors will catch your attention instantly and just one more step ahead you are completely transported into an extraterrestrial world. The entrance is opulent, with plush decor and a huge comfortable seating area which overlooks the best part of ‘the’ place.

The beauty of Skyye lies in its open air lounge; yes this is the area where you will be under a canopy of scintillating stars. The under-lit flooring which constantly illuminates in various hues also adds its touch of effervescence to this beautiful place. What’s even more fascinating about this place is its breathtaking view. You can view the entire city and get a bird's eyes view of its bountiful green cover, and, amidst it, the constant hustle bustle on the roads while the airy breeze keeps you company transporting you in a world that is quite unlikely in a city like ours. And while we were soaking in the new found bliss, something unbelievable just caught our attention. It was breathtaking to get an aerial view of the Chinnaswamy Stadium from where we were standing. No wonder Skyye is proving to be very popular among the city’s elite.

And just then we were joined by the young and savvy Nirmala Balakrishnan one of the co-partner of Skyye. “This place can easily accommodate around 1000 people and it looks so different from what I had imagined. Santosh (her husband and co-partner) would load me up with architectural details but guess this place was beyond my own imagination,” she says helping us choose our dishes. Oh! This is fancy! you cannot view your menu cards horizontally here (because, it’s dark) , it needs to be placed vertically for the light under the table to reflect on the menu card which is sufficient for you to leaf through their extensive menu. We then settled for cheese and spinach squares and dim sum for starters while sipping our beautifully made Vodka based cocktail. We also ordered the veg fettuccine in blue cheese and the same assortment with fish and smoked chicken with mashed potatoes for the main course.

The music by Dj Villz and Gokul kept us accompanied while the ongoing IPL match was another highlight as we saw a lot of people cheering the players as they hit a boundary. Immersed in animated conversations, the food made its way and I must say the cheese and spinach squares were soft and extremely appetizing. The dim sums were perfectly cooked and the filling was appropriate. We also tried the American Bowl which is an assortment of fries, wedges, cheese balls and onion rings (Goes perfectly with your drinks and the cheese balls and melts are to die for). The veg pasta was delicately spiced and the flavour of blue cheese teased our taste buds and it made for a perfect mains. As we savoured every morsel of our scrumptious meal, the hazelnut and chocolate mousse made its perfect entry on our table. It looked extremely mouth-watering and yes! It tasted divine and sinful as well! It is indeed one experience you don’t want to miss! Sky-yeh!
A meal for two with drinks will cost you Rs. 2500
