‘Rock on’ with MTV; Unleash the Rockstar!
If you think you’re a rockstar in need of a band but have never known where to look, then plug in and play along with Kurkure Desi Beats Rock On with MTV. A brand new reality series on MTV that captures the entire process of the hunt, the making and the rocking of India’s hottest new Desi Rock Band! Playing judge are some celebrated rockstars themselves… Kailash Kher [the voice of some phenomenal chartbusters], Ram Sampath [the incredibly talented music composer behind some of the most popular songs, albums and jingles of all time] and MTV VJ Nikhil Chinapa [a DJ, music producer and music expert himself!]
The grand prize includes an album deal with India’s leading record label, T-series, a music video produced by MTV, a mega concert besides a state of the art instrument set. The show’s not limited to singers alone… so if you can sing in Hindi or play any instrument [anything from the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, violin, trumpet, dhol, sarangi, flute, tabla, hell, a thaali even!] then get to the audition venues starting 9 am and show your ragas and scales. If you don’t have an instrument, don’t worry; the venues have a set up [guitar, bass, drums, tabla, keyboard, harmonium, microphone only].
Competitions are based on performance, skill and the ‘Desipann Quotient’ [D.Q.] as the contestants compete as individuals and bands every week.
