It is that time of the year when the fashionistas from the city get their dose of entertainment and get to know about what’s in, and what’s out, when some of the best collections from the top notch designers are adorned by the models sashaying down the ramp.
On the third day of the BPBFW there were seven designers from across the country showcasing their collections, which included some big names like Swapnil Shinde, Ramesh Dembla, and the grand finale by Archana Kochhar. While all the seven got much praises by the onlookers, the grand finale by Archana left many to sing her praises.
Archana’s collection was presented along with Giantti, the high end luxury jewelry store from Gitanjali Lifestyle. It was yet another unconventional collection from the designer celebrating a floral extravaganza of all things pretty and pristine with all the glittering glory and freshly blossoming romance of a winter garden. The collection had a girlie spirit of fluttering petals. The models who adorned her dresses during the show was a testimony to that.

Accentuating the dazzle of Archana’s love for glamour was some sparkling jewelry from Giantti, that cast a spell on the crowd, and the gorgeous Sophie Choudry, who walked the ramp for the evening, dressed in Le Fleur collection. Speaking about her, dress, Sophie said, “I love the dress that I am wearing today, nay, it is, in fact, nice to see myself walking for shows like this; I have had walked for few shows already, and it’s always nice to be a part of something like this. Bangalore Fashion Week is just in the third edition, and I am sure they have a long way to go.”
Speaking to Mybangalore, designer Archana said, “My collection from the show was more on colors. As they are for occasions, I wanted to make them look very colorful and joyful. I have also embellished them with stones and crystals, which adds more to the spirit of occasions I think.” She adds: “The essence of this collection resonates the mood of winter in a celebratory spirit where there is merriment of the first cold rushes in the city.” Day Three of the Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week saw the fashion fever soar to an all new level with a mix of seasoned and GenNext Designers showcasing their designs. Swapnil Shinde’s show was a mix of some great designs and equally great music. Swapnil, whose creations line the shelves of India's leading fashion stores and are worn by many celebs, calls himself an experimenter, feels Bangalore is just the right place for a designer like him. “I love to experiment, which is why I feel it’s the city like Bangalore where I can try out on a collection like this. Today’s collection was very special to me, for I was suppose to have this collection show in the London Fashion Week, where I couldn’t make it for some health reasons.”

Swapnil Shinde’s show stopper, Mandira Bedi was seen equally thrilled and excited to have worn his dress. Dressed in a white gown, embellished with stones and gems, she said, “It’s designer like Swapnil who can make me walk as a show stopper in a show like the BPBFW. It’s great to walk for him, because he is definitely one of the designers that I look forward to. It’s great to be in the show, for Bangalore is one of the cities that I love coming to. The weather is amazing here, so are the people. They are warm and welcoming.”
Throughout the four days, there are a total of 25 designers participating from all across the country in the BPBFW third edition. Some of the big names include the likes of Shymal and Bhumica, Michelle Sallins, Aslam Khan, Lina Tipnis, Ramesh Dembla, Archana Kochhar, Neerus and so forth. The grand finale will be by the very acclaimed designer, JJ Valaya – better known as one of the fashion czars in the industry. And now, with just one more day for the fashion fiesta to get over, it just leaves the fashion aficionados from the city to anticipate on what’s been lined up for them on Sunday evening, when JJ Valaya, who is considered as one of the fashion czars in the industry will showcase his clothes for the grand finale.
