Act now, last few days left to submit LPG documents
Don’t be surprised if your LPG supply is abruptly stopped. The Department Of Food And Civil Supplies is firm, this time, on curbing illegal connections.
To keep a tab on the rising number of illegal gas connections in Bangalore, the Department Of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers’ Affairs has decided to crackdown on the illegal connections.
"If someone fails to submit details during this time, the LPG connection will be cancelled. People can register their RR number online or in the Taluk offices. An officer will help people file the details online,'' said Shobha Karandlaje, Minister for Energy and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs.
To update RR number and check the status of their LPG connection, consumers can log onto http://ahara.kar.nic.in/ . Further, those with legal connections must submit documents within 15 days to prevent them from getting suspended.
“There are 52.5 lakh ration card holders and 75 lakh gas connections in the state. Of them, 18.5 lakh cards are illegal and only 32.5 lakh gas connection holders have provided the necessary documents. We will wait for few more days and thereafter, gas supply and ration to the illegal card holders will be stopped,” Shobha added.
