Adorn yourself with Jhumkas and Baalis from Citrine

Jewellery Designer Purvi Dhruv has creatively beautified the earlobes of women at home and abroad with her breathtaking creations.

In the journey of life we often stumble
upon ‘opportunities’ which have the power to change the very course of our lives. And such actions become incredibly precious as they mean a whole lifetime to us. Such is the success story of Marketing and Advertising professional Purvi Dhruv who serendipitously found her hidden love for eternal jewellery. “As a child I was never interested in gold jewellery. But then came a day in my life when I randomly sketched a few designs on the paper and I found myself completely hooked to it,” says the jewellery designer, who also did a course in Gemology and diamond grading to support her passion.

Not only did her leisurely pursuit turn into her biggest passion it also paved her way to limitless creativity. She soon set up her own brand ‘Citrine’ where she designs and manufactures stupendous silver earrings. “When I started off I realized that gold prices were continuously sky rocketing, so I opted to create my line of jewellery in silver which has a hint of gold,” says Purvi whose brand is not only famous in the domestic market but is also a big hit on the international forum.

“A friend of mine from the US took a lot of my earrings for her personal use and when she wore them she was loaded with compliments. She immediately called me and ordered the entire collection. And before I knew it my earrings were worn by Hollywood stars at the Golden Globe Awards and Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles early this year,” says Purvi with a sparkle in her eyes.

Her spring summer collection carries the beautiful trace of the summer vibe in elements of flowers and leaves. And her recent collection Enigma allowed her explore a new side of her creativity which remains extremely close to her heart. “This collection is inspired by the European Venetian mask that I picked up during my vacation in Europe. The collection has intricate curvy lines and also has the influence of Murano glass in it. I always try to keep the appeal indo-western so that can team it up with just about anything,” saya Purvi who loves designing the Jhumkas and feels that it has a mystic charm to it.
