To convert cocoa beans into edible, solid chocolate calls for an elaborate procedure, and to master the exact blend of cocoa solids and butter is an art in itself. A mastery of this coupled with a keen business acumen rightly places Chenddyna Schae as a master chocolatier.

Chenddyna Schae started Jus’ Trufs in October 2001. Initially working from her kitchen at home, she gradually branched out, and now has a large work area specially designed to blend the traditional kitchen with coming of age standards in the food industry.  Jus’ Trufs has come a long way since its inception; she says “During my job at the Taj pastry kitchen, I was given a bundle of chocolates to wrap. That was my first tryst with chocolates and at that time I didn’t realize that I’d be doing this for the rest of my life but since then it’s been a long and fruitful journey,”

Jus' Trufs speciality is the pure truffles, as the name suggests. However over the past nine years they have developed new and exciting flavours, catering to varying needs of customers. Some of their custom blends range from the 70% dark bitter to a milk chocolate with caramel notes, making their creation an ideal gifting choice. With an understanding of the different requirements that their customers might have, Jus' Trufs works together with their clients to create unique chocolates.

 “I wanted Jus’ Trufs to be a corporate gifting company and not just another producer of homemade chocolates. Daily, the chocolates are randomly sampled and inspected. Our packagings are handmade with great attention to detail. We go out of our way to suit everything to our clients taste,” Says Chenddyna.  

A keen learner, this effervescent entrepreneur began way back in the eighties when she was a fresh hotel management graduate. “I used to operate from my home kitchen and found it extremely difficult to take orders as I was single-handedly managing everything. Then I took a long break to devote time to children and family. After relocating to Bangalore, I launched Jus’ Trufs and was back to business after a 10-year hiatus,” she says.

She further adds, “It was tough because my kitchen and dining table was my workplace and I had no office or staff and used to look into every single detail myself. Now that I have an office space and have hired some staff, it’s much easier to make time for my family,” Apart from customizing chocolates Jus' Trufs has four additional ranges Premium, Signature, Liqueuer, Sugar-free and Belgian. The Premium range includes regular flavoured chocolates, Lollipops and Jus' Bisks. Jus' Trufs Signature range offers its customers a variety of their soft centred truffles and their highly recommended crunchy and nutty chocolates.  

Flavours range from pure truffles and the rum truffles to the delightful fruit n nut and crisp almond. For those who want to experience European chocolates, the Belgian range is ideal. Making use of select ingredients from all over the world, these chocolates are a true chocolate lovers delight. Jus' Trufs has developed a sugar free range of chocolates. Using ingredients such as maltitol, cocoa butter, cocoa masst, they can create almost all their products, sans sugar.

Till date, Jus’ Trufs has customized chocolates for 200 corporate firms with a production capacity of 40-80 kg a day, going up to even 80-100 kgs a day during peak gifting season. Schae’s clients range from MNCs, real estate firms, banks and even the airport where she stocks 150-250 gm sized-packets of her sugar-free line  

Jus’ Trufs provides end-to-end solutions in designing chocolates and hampers that are delivered to different parts of India and abroad. The packaging, customized for each delivery, range from extravagant wedding spreads to huge corporate orders.
