is the brain child of Bharathi Ravi Prakash, a graduate in Diamonds, Jewellery design and an accredited Jewellery professional, all from the prestigious Gemological institute of America.The name Studio Tara was coined not by accident but by design. She wanted her clients to know that they could sit down and get designs custom made for them with a wide range of Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires and other precious stones, set in Gold, Platinum or even silver to suit their individual personality, tastes, occasion and most importantly, Budgets. Thus the “Studio” to indicate the design element and “Tara” to symbolize the cluster of divine sparkling stars sprayed across the galaxy, which inspires such a deep desire to pluck them from the sky and wear it on your body forever.

The 4500 sq ft sprawling expanse of fashion set in the heart of Bangalore is known for housing some of the best known fashion designer brands in the country. The Critters collection - This collection started by deriving the inspiration from living creatures. After a thorough research on the innovative beings along with their detailing, it has resulted in the birth of gem-studded scorpions, owls, sea-horses, tortoises, etc.
The Harlequin collection - This collection is inspired by the lush, saturated green-yellow combination popularly referred to as the Harlequin green. As the colour green relates to the ever-green flora kind, the motifs of the collection are inspired by the asymmetric natural forms.
Lustrous moon collection - Clearly using the pearl as an inspiration as its resemblance the moon, this collection was then created. It showcases its spectacular affair of various coloured pearls with Diamonds, Precious stones held together by the metal.

was set up in 2003 to offer custom design jewellery to discerning clients.Every one has a designer hidden inside them and at ST they can have a unique experience where their desires are translated into beautiful designs. Based on the budgets, precious gem stones are suggested. Bharathi invests in an unique “ collection” of precious stones like Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires and diamonds and has an adequate inventory in various shapes and sizes for the clients to choose from Studio Tara essentially caters to the growing demand for custom designed, one of kind jewellery.
Passionate about jewellery and not being satisfied with mass produced pieces on offer in the market, Bharathi started designing jewellery that she would ideally love to wear. To her pleasant surprise she discovered that many of her friends loved her creations and asked her to design jewellery for them. She knew that designing for one’s own pleasure and catering to the needs of others would be different. This would be a huge responsibility and therefore she decided to equip herself with a proper academic foundation and proceeded to graduate in Diamonds, Jewellery design and is also an Accredited Jewellery professional from The Gemological institute of America (London).
Her clientele has been growing steadily over the years and just not in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore or Mumbai but also in New York, Washington and London. She has had shows in all these places which was well received.
