Bangalore students to represent India at Children’s Olympics

Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation (BSSF) sponsored by business tycoon Dr. Vijay Mallya is all set to put India on the global map.

BSSF that has been participating
for the last three years at the International Children’s Games (Children’s Olympics) is geared up to take part in 45th Children’s Olympics, this year. The organization is fielding the Under-15 Boys Football Team to participate at the International Children’s Games, scheduled to be held in Lanarkshire Scotland from August 3- 8.

The International Children’s Games that is held every year in various parts of the world is endorsed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Nearly 3000 athletes from about 50 countries participate in multi disciplinary competitive sports. Dr Vijay Mallya, Chairman of the UB Group has come forward to support the vision and sustained efforts of the Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation by sponsoring the Under 15 Boys Football team who have been chosen from various schools across the city, to represent Bangalore.

The UB Group has been sponsoring many other popular sports of India like Cricket, Football, Golf, Formula One, Horse Racing, amongst others. In keeping with the philosophy of nurturing professional sports in the country, it is supporting and promoting two well known professional football teams of the country – Mohan Bagan and East Bengal.
