Text, send and get parking information in Bangalore

Finding parking spaces in malls can prove to be a real problem. But, thanks to the Bangalore traffic police’s new initiative, you can bid goodbye to parking woes.

In a bid to solve parking problems
in the city, Bangalore Traffic Police has now introduced a new system where people can get all the information on parking availability by sending text BTIS (space) PARK to 52225. “We often see huge lines for parking on the roads, especially in front of malls. Once this system is functional, people will be able to know if parking space is available or not,” said Additional commissioner of Police, Praveen Sood.

Traffic police who have initiated this project to connect parking lots in the city to traffic management centres will expand this plan steadily in the coming days. Since the project is now in its initial stages, the management centre is currently connected to the parking lots of Garuda Mall, Lido Mall and Apollo Hospital.

Meanwhile , Bangaloreans seem to be delighted with this new move of traffic police. Very soon , the Traffic Transit Management Centres of BMTC and other major shopping malls in the city will be connected to the traffic management centres, provided all the parking lots get computerized.

The number 52225 does not work with vodafone network as this number is used for online phone storage service.
