The Campaign
Advertisers and multi-nationals have long known the value of even just one minute of film. With the help of our international Partners we will use your entries as a platform to carry your voices far and wide in a global campaign for the planet rallying public and political support in the lead up to the Copenhagen Climate Conference and continuing until CO2 targets have been met.  To take part all you need to do is creatively respond to the challenge of climate change using film as your medium.

We’re asking you to use whatever means you have to film your short and use your minute to speak up and make the world listen. It’s time to get personal and we need your help! We hope you will feel inspired to  add your creative voice to this global climate campaign.

Copenhagen Climate Conference
In December 2009, world leaders will meet in Copenhagen to replace the Kyoto Treaty with a new global climate deal. It is essential that world leaders commit their governments to reducing their CO2 emissions by 25% by 2012 and 80% by 2050. These are the targets set by the World’s Scientific Community to protect life on earth. It is the first and most necessary step to ensure that the planet’s temperature does not rise beyond 2 degrees.

The Official Media Partners for the event are The Guardian Unlimited and in partnership with: Unite For Climate, with the support of our NGO Partners Greenpeace, World Development Movement, nef (New Economics Foundation), and Stop Climate Chaos.

The entries will be Judged by Shekhar Kapur,  Working Title Films, Passion Pictures Focus Features International, Franny Armstrong, Bruce Parry, John Vidal and Mark Lynas. Music is supported  by music Partners Mad-Planet featuring Broadway Project by Composer Dan Berridge.

Distribution by and with the help of all our friends and supporters - Thank you for spreading the word around the world and helping to protect and sustain the planet!
