The centre of attraction, however, is what we felt to be the unique event that gives a chance to discover the ‘real you’, something that all the stylish ladies should look forward to – a free makeover by well known make up artist in the city. Shankar Suryanarayan - Chief Marketing Officer, Lifestyle says, “‘Colours by Lakme’ has been well received across centers by all lady customers who are thrilled to receive this opportunity of getting tips from the experts on how to look their best.”
Needless to say, when you have the experts, themselves, taking care of your make up, the query, too, is normal. “A lot of queries have been about the latest makeup trends and what looks will be in vogue during the Festive season,” concludes Mr. Suryanarayan.
Siddharth Hiremath aka Sid, make up artist, felt the event has given an all new opportunity for people to discover what look the best in them. “It’s a spectacular event organized really well. I am just glad to see people coming in to see what look the best in them.” He explains: “I feel, everyone is beautiful in their own way, just that, they need to know what’s the color, or the make up that suits the most. I help them to find that. And then,” he adds “the exclamation of delight I have got from some, is pretty interesting to see.” He added, “Every body wants to look good, and the free makeover-thing has helped them to understand that.”
For Nandita, a beauty consultant who was also present for the show corroborates: “My intention is to make people comfortable with colors. A lot of them want to experiment but they end up doing the wrong thing.” Asked on what makes it different, she says, “Here, we get to meet people from different background, all wanting to do different things, but with one common intention – look good. It’s a joy to make them feel what they want to be.”
And all of these came pretty true when we spoke with Sutapa Chaterjee who had done the makeover. Smilingly she corroborates: “It’s nice to be looking this way. In the process of looking really different, we end up monopolizing our look. After the makeover, I now feel that by using whatever one has, but in the right manner, can surely make a huge difference.” She just got done with the makeover and the change for sure was quite vivid.
For Sid, it, however, was something that he felt should have had been started long time back. “This is a common thing abroad, but I am happy that it is seen even in our country. It’s always nice to have makeover session, or to educate people with some small makeover tips in places where these products are sold,” concluded the make up artist.
