Latino Rhythms at Jayanagar
It’s not just about dance, it’s about being in sync with your passion.
Latino Rhythms Dance Academy (L.R.D.A.) has added another feather to its cap by opening one more of its academy at Jayanagar 4th Block on October 11. The dance school has centres in Indranagar, Koramangala, Richmond Road, Sarjapur, Shadashivnagar, White field, Kamanahalli and Jayanagar
John Anthony director and founder of LRDA inaugurated their new centre which teaches all forms of Latino dances. The academy also has a handful of other activities such as kick boxing, aerobics, special dance tutorials, customized classes for wedding couples, personal training, and workshops to name a few.
Along with all of these, the new academy will have its regular classes on other forms of dance, such as Salsa, Jive, Bachata, Casino Rueda and Lifts and Tricks. While speaking to Mybangalore, Anthony revealed his future plans and his expectations from the new academy. “This will be my own space, something that would differ from all the other center’s that are situated in the city. When we started off in 2005, we hardly had students coming in for classes, but then it has grown in all these years”. “Today, we have nine centers functioning across the city.”
Speaking about his future plans, Anthony added, “This will focus mainly on the students and will give them an open space to do what they like the most. I want to make them feel at home here. Along with normal dance classes, we’ll have a lot of other activities taught by professional trainers.”
Catering to international standards, L.R.D.A., is the brainchild of John Anthony. Today, the academy also conducts classes and workshops for different companies in the city. Ankit Chandna, says, “We have a lot of corporates who have joined us lately, and also the number of young students who have joined us in the last few years are immense. There are more than 5,000 students who are trained by us today.”
Nidhi Gambhir, another trainer in the L.R.D.A. admits, “We have seen the growth in the past few years. Anthony is a wonderful trainer and a great human being. It’s amazing to be working with him. His classes are powerful and he knows it well as to how he can make a student do the right steps.”
With an aim to expand the academy all across the country, Anthony hopes that L.R.D.A. will be the right place for one to have fun and also be in sync with one’s feelings, and not just a place for one to learn dancing. “We hope to expand this to all the other cities in the country in the coming years. We hope that, along with dance training, the place also helps one to distress and feel rejuvenate.” he says signing off.
