Top 5 International Schools in Bangalore

Bangalore is the hub of international schools. High levels of infrastructure and teaching facilities are provided here. International schools along with the International pattern also satisfy the requirements of the Indian National System.

We live in a time where learning and education
are synonymous with decisions and choices. International Schools offer world class education with residential facilities. Bangalore is home to several well acclaimed International Schools. These form training grounds for students to perform well in the global scenario.

The medium of education in international schools is accepted as English although these different schools follow different examination systems and boards. But being in India they have to adhere to certain requirements of the Indian national system irrespective of the examination system adopted by them. Most of the international schools opt for the I B Board or the (International Baccalaureate). However there are other examination systems like the GCSE and GCE examination systems. Here are some of the International Schools in Bangalore.

Bangalore International School

Bangalore International School, or American Community School as it was once called, was started in 1969. In the 60s and the 70s, although there were hundreds of American and Canadian families living in the city, there were no local schooling options that offered a North American curriculum and instruction style. Finding no suitable schooling options, they decided to open their own, and so the American Community School was born, in a garage on Millers Road.

Bangalore International School (BIS) offers an international education that aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. BIS is accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations Syndicate. The school is also a Cambridge International Examination Centre along with being a centre for the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations.
