Ever wanted to visit the Seven Wonders
of the World without making a big hole in your pocket? The two-month Great Garuda Shopping festival, which offers an opportunity to get the feel of those wonderful monuments has received good response in the city. The festival which began with the theme ‘One World, One City, One Festival’ on November 4, will continue to rock the city till January 1.
It will have the replicas of the wonders, including Taj Mahal representing India, Great Wall of China representing China, the Eiffel Tower representing medieval Europe (France), Statue of Liberty representing USA, the leaning tower of Pisa, Red Square of Kremlin (Russia) and the city of Petra (Jordan).

The two-month festival will not just give you a look and feel of the Seven Wonders but  also during the weekends, it would feast your eyes with cultural events of that particular country and treat your taste buds with the cuisines of the same. Food Court and Restaurants have planned to serve authentic cuisines during this season and will also offer loads of shoppertainment during these two months of absolute festivity. Actor Ravi Chandran unveiled the festival at Garuda Mall, recently and the first week from November 4 – 7 was the Karnataka week marking the Kannada Rajyotsava.

Monuments highlighting the cultural beauty of other countries will be on display on the following days. China Week (from November 8 – 14) , Indian Week, showcasing the Mughal culture ( 15 – 21), European Week (22 – 28), Arabian Week (November 29 – December 5), Russian Week (6 – 12), American Week (13 – 19) and Italian Week (20 – 26) will be the highlight of the festival.

Apart from this, there would be one Gold Coin winner every day. Every evening Gold Coin would be give away to the lucky winner whose coupon would be picked up at 7.00 PM. There would be two monthly mini bumper prizes as Maruti Alto Cars to the lucky winners. This means that one Maruti Alto Car would be given away to the lucky winner during the first month and another car during the second month of the festival season. A Bumper prize would be a luxury Maruti SX4 which would be given away on the 1st January '11 to the lucky winner.
