Students can now apply for revaluation at BangaloreOne centres
Students of Bangalore University (BU) can now file their revaluation through any of the 62 BangaloreOne centres across the city. The photocopies will be delivered to the respective colleges within 20-25 days.
Now students of Bangalore University (BU) can seek photocopies of answer scripts or apply for revaluation at BangaloreOne centres. BU has decided not to charge the students any additional fee for utilizing this facility. “BangaloreOne centres will collect Rs1 service charge, but that will be paid by the university,” said BU Vice-Chancellor N Prabhu Dev at a press meet on Tuesday.
Students can visit their nearest BangaloreOne centre and pay the requisite fee in cash or as a demand draft (DD). Within 20-25 days, the photocopies will be delivered to their respective colleges by speed post. The VC also announced that exams for subjects such as Indian Constitution, Environmental Science, and Computer Fundamentals would be conducted in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) mode. Students will have to write answers on the OMR sheets and their valuation will be by computerized scanning. The key answers to the questions for these subjects will be uploaded on www.buuniv.in and www.schools9.com soon after the exam, he said, while pointing out that these initiatives part of ongoing examination reforms.
Meanwhile, to avoid any type of malpractices in the evaluation system, BU has introduced automatic dummy numbers on the answer scripts to ensure full confidentiality of the candidate, college and examination centre. Under this scheme, the answer script numbers will be bar coded and the university will tear the upper part of the main sheet where the actual number is entered, before handing them over for evaluation. The university will scan the page which has actual details to enter the marks after evaluation.
The Vice-Chancellor said measures have been taken to announce the results of the ongoing exams within 20 to 25 days with the cooperation of officials of the Collegiate Education Department, principals and teachers of colleges affiliated to the university.
