The first edition Eristoff Invasion festival will
be headlined by one of the world’s most explosive live acts - The Prodigy. The festival will bring some of the most cutting-edge musicians from India and around the world to Bangalore (January 13) and New Delhi (January 15) in 2011. British band The Prodigy will perform in India for the first time at Eristoff Invasion and will be joined by acts like Pentagram, Midival Punditz and Jalebee Cartel. The festival will also see a DJ set by popular Australian electro rock act Pendulum.

The Prodigy is one of the biggest performing artists in the world currently. They’ve sold over 25 million albums worldwide and have headlined some of the biggest international music festivals. In India, where performances by contemporary and currently relevant international performing artists are few and far between, The Prodigy will bring a discography that rivals the best. Responsible for some of the world’s hugest dance tracks including ‘Firestarter’ and ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, the band’s gigs come on the back off their latest 2009 album Invaders Must Die which went straight to #1 on the UK album charts.

Their music has been featured in several major Hollywood films including Charlie’s Angels, The Matrix and most recently Kick-Ass. Having enthralled audiences worldwide with their electric stage performances and a catalogue of some of the world’s most impressive dance tunes, the British trio of Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim promise to bring that same energy to India. Says Liam Howlett, “We are psyched to be playing our music in India. It will be our first time there so we don't know what to expect which is exciting for us. We know we will do our job of smashin’ the place apart with our music. See you there!"

Drum and bass rockers Pendulum one of Australia's greatest contribution to the world of electronic music. The band has been whipping fans into frenzy with an amped-up aural assault of the turntables for the better part of decade now, and has thrilled crowds at massive festivals like Reading, Glastonbury and Creamfields. From down tempo dub step to out-and-out drum and bass, Pendulum's manic, dance-driven energy is sure to drive Eristoff Invasion fans ballistic.

Eristoff Invasion is a brand new music festival that will bring the best international, contemporary, high-energy acts to India, acts brimming with attitude and personality. Apart from being headlined by The Prodigy, the festival will also feature performances by some of the most exciting national live acts including Mumbai electro-rock pioneers Pentagram. Vishal Dadlani, frontman of Pentagram, says “It’s The Prodigy! What’s not to be excited about? This is the band that redefined electro rock. They have been an inspiration and are true pioneers. I've seen them live at Glastonbury and Reading and the gig is full of incredible energy and madness. It's just pure adrenaline." There are also more acts, International and Indian that are being added to the line-up.

The festival is being organized by Motherswear, Only Much Louder’s festivals division in collaboration with UKNY Music, a leading UK-based music and events company.  Speaking about the event, Arvind Krishnan, GM Marketing, BACARDI India said, “With the changing music scenario, electronic music has floored many with its high energy. The Prodigy is purely reflective of that genius and Eristoff India as part of the Bacardi portfolio is enthused to bring such an exclusive event to India as part of their Invasion Festival.”

Says Vijay Nair, CEO of Only Much Louder, “I have been fortunate to see quite a few international acts and nothing comes close to the energy and insanity of a Prodigy concert. When we conceptualized Invasion, our idea was to push all limits of festival production and experience and deliver to Indian fans, what they truly deserve,"
