Bangalore International Automotive Expo 2009

January's the month for auto enthusiasts in Bangalore. MyBangalore tells you why.

The Bangalore International Automotive Expo opened its doors for the public on the 9th of January. This three- day extravaganza saw auto buffs check out the latest trends and find out about more about never before seen automobiles.

From all terrain vehicles and super bikes to prototypes and Nitro cars, the Auto Expo was the hub of all advanced vehicles from every auto category. At the entrance were a host of-off road bikes that screamed style and comfort. From 50 cc to 100 cc to even 250 cc, these bikes are meant just for your personal use. Costing anywhere between Rs.1, 00, 000 to Rs. 2, 00, 000, these bikes are eco- friendly, a feature that justified their price. The highlight was of course the very small and light ‘E Bike’ which can run up to 50 kilometers once charged. This bike was priced at Rs. 9, 999.

Another attraction at the Expo was the custom- made cars by San Storm. The Mumbai based company displayed some of their most fascinating custom made cars. Having been in the car modification business for over 7 years, they displayed cars with modified exteriors and interiors.

The Auto Expo 2009 also featured a varied number of car accessories. Right from advanced leather seating to car entertainment to exterior car accessories the Auto Expo 2009 had everything worth displaying. The highlight of this segment was the set of reverse parking sensors from Red Soul. The products started from Rs.2, 500 and went up to Rs.42, 000.

Along with the amazing automobiles, Auto Expo 2009 also organised a seminar about ‘New Methods of Bio Diesel Production’, ‘Hydrogen Fuel’, ‘engaging innovations of the future’ and other compelling topics.
