Chaos and charisma

What started with ‘Mad in China’ and is now also ‘Mad in India’. The‘mad’ journey of Tendance Floue in South Asia. “Mad In India”, is a magazine representing India’s maddening diversity. Comprising eleven photographers and two journalists, Tendance Floue published the magazine ‘Mad in China’ in the year 2007. But before long they were craving for a similar adventure with a different flavor, and that is how ‘Mad in India’ was born.

“Mad in India” was unveiled on the 10th of December 2008 at the Alliance Francaise in Bangalore. It is Tendance Floue’s photographic documentation of India as it traversed cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

In addition to Tendence Floue’s masterful lens men, the magazine also features a number of authors and poets. Stalwarts like Samit Basu, Balbir Madhopuri and Altaf Tyrewala appear in ‘Mad in India’
Scaling the length and breadth of the country in all its dichotomy, Mad In India is an apt representation of the chaos and charisma that is India.
