Collaborative email suite via Software-as-a-Service (Saas)

Taroby was one of the products showcased in the recently concluded HeadStart event held in Bangalore. Their collaborative email suite via Software-as-a-Service (Saas) model, is aimed for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) to boost productivity. MyBangalore tells you more about the start up.

As organizations become more geographically distributed, there will be need for them to work in a collaborative manner to meet the ever increasing customer expectations and demands. E-mail seems to be one of the most efficient ways of communication in our time and has also become a part and parcel of our daily lives too. Most existing email applications have not done much to address this evolution. Taroby wants to address these messaging issues using its Web 2.0 SaaS based messaging and collaboration suite that enables sharing of email accounts among team members.

Using Taroby, sharing implies that emails are accessible to all team members working on a particular assignment or project, with the possibility to assign messages directly to individual team members. In traditional email clients, the inbox is a mere interface to read and write emails. Taroby had taken an innovative approach, which makes the inbox much more powerful than ever before, providing new strategies and a competitive edge to the user for working more efficiently and productively. This is achieved by tying up inboxes with a complete work flow, task management and ticket system and thus helps organizations to holistically improve their internal and external communications.

From technological standpoint Taroby is implemented using a number of new AJAX and Web 2.0 technologies. It is built using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), uses the DOJO toolkit. When explaining more on them “All technologies used in Taroby are completely Open Source and have been thoroughly tested for stability, security and volume over the years” says Bangalore MD Aby Varghese. Presently Taroby is available as a SaaS license model, which is a subscription based approach to address SMB needs. Further business areas will include the setup and management of mail servers and mail space as well as the continuous development of Taroby's core program with extensions known from other group ware suites.

This service is offered by Advanced Millennium Technologies (AMT), which is a Bangalore based service software and solution company, founded in 2002 in Bangalore, India.
