She features interesting decorating ideas, best stores for furnishings, artists and different crafts, hotels with great interiors and even snapshots of creative corners of her readers from Israel and Dubai. ‘Rang Décor was started in January, 2007, just a couple of months after I started my personal blog ‘Rang- The Colours of Life’ in which I share my various interests like photography, travel, art, chai & everyday musings. Rang Décor came into being at a time when there were very few blogs covering Interior Design from India. I wanted to showcase to the world, a blend of rich traditional and contemporary interior designs from India.’ Says Archana referring to how the idea of the blog was born.

Blogging is a perfect creative outlet for Archana who earlier dabbled in advertising and graphic design. Having no formal training in interior design, she says it’s a passion which she readily shares through her blog. ‘Rang Décor is a design blog and having a creative background definitely helps, but I have seen some lovely design blogs by individuals driven by sheer passion for it.’ The blog has generated so much interest on the wed it has also been featured as one of the 16 international design blogs by Domino Magazine and BBC Good Homes Magazine also featured her home and blog.
