IT employees in Bangalore constitute 35% of the total IT work pool in our country. We as ITEC intend to open up a platform between the IT employees and the political parties to understand their manifestos and know what’s in store for us from each of them. The recent forecasts have been indicating quite turbulent times for the Indian IT industry and its employees. To add to the existing speculations, the employees have been getting crushed under various anti-employee moves like absence of standing orders, labour laws, no proper curb or check on fraud IT companies and many other such scenarios which are in one way or the other deteriorating the safe working conditions of the IT workforce today. In this context, ITEC as representative of the IT community is organizing a Convention of all Political Parties prior to Karnataka Assembly elections to speak on their manifesto for IT/ITeS Employees. This will also provide an opportunity for IT/ITeS Employees to interact with different political parties and raise their concerns, aspirations&various aspects concerning the Industry.
